In 2017, he changed his name from Mike Towers to Myke Towers in honor of the movement known as Young Kingz of which he is a part of, changing the i to a y initial letter in the name of the movement. Myke Towers, a Puerto Rican rapper who has been within the rap scene since he was in his teens, has released his very first compositions and freestyles via his SoundCloud page. The tracks Dia de cobro Por Mi Es Normal (which the artist wrote) and En los Bloques, which was released in 2014, have earned him fame. He gained notoriety due to the La Nueva Droga freestyle and his interpretation of Drake's first song 0 To 100.
